Bookstore Romance Day is the brainchild of bookseller Billie Bloebaum of Third Street Books in McMinnville, Oregon. The annual event was launched in 2019 and is hosted on the third Saturday in August. “Bookstore Romance Day is a day designed to give independent bookstores an opportunity to celebrate Romance fiction—its books, readers, and writers—and to strengthen the relationships between bookstores and the Romance community.” The event organizers have a bunch of virtual events planned so you can join in on the fun.
To help you get in the spirit, we are sharing 16 of our favorite romance novels to celebrate Bookstore Romance Day!
