The 2020 Summer Reading Guide

The first annual BiblioLifestyle Summer Reading Guide is finally here and I’m super excited for it to be out in the world!  Summer has always been a huge reading season for me and I know the same can be said for many readers as well.  While this summer is different, I’m extremely grateful that we have books.

In preparation for this guide, I’ve browsed through hundreds of books – read some to the end and others I did not finish (DNF).  In the end, I’ve narrowed down the list to thirty-plus of my favorite new release titles and eight backlist titles.  Because we’re all about lifestyle here, you’ll also find some fun things to do at home this summer along with “three ingredients” summer cocktails for you to indulge in if you’re of legal drinking age 😉

There are literally thousands of books that will be gracing bookshelves this summer, and I haven’t read them all.  What I have done is selected my favorites from the hundreds of books I have read.  I then organized them into seven categories, with one dedicated to the minimalist reader and one with great backlist titles. I’ve also included publication dates so you’ll know what comes out when (although these dates may change). Some of these titles have heavy themes, so if you need trigger warnings, please email me at hello[at]bibliolifestyle.com, and I will do my best to advise you accordingly.

Above all, reading is a personal experience!  I’ve included summaries to help you decide if that book sounds right for you based on your taste, interests, and current reading mood.

If you like what we’ve put together in this Summer Reading Guide, please share the guide’s homepage bibliolifestyle.com/2020srg/ on your favorite social media channels or directly with your favorite bookish friends!  Don’t forget to tag @bibliolifestyle and use the hashtag #bibliolifestyleSRG in your posts so we can see what you’re reading as well.

I hope you’ll find plenty of books you love in this guide. I wish you a happy and safe summer with lots of reading!
