Bookish Quotes Is Now Yours! The Second Coloring Book in Our Cozy Collection
Hi Bookish Besties, If you had told me a year ago that I’d be writing a blog post announcing my second coloring book, I honestly don’t think I would’ve believed you. Yet here we are. I’ve been sitting with that thought a lot over the last few days. When I was chatting with my friend Francesca recently, I kept saying the same thing over and over: If someone had told me a year ago that I’d be doing this, I wouldn’t believe you. And now, somehow, it’s reality. It still feels surreal to say we started with Cozy Reading and now Bookish Quotes: Bold and Easy Coloring Book is officially out in the world and now yours!
Meet Bookish Quotes
Our newest release, Bookish Quotes: Bold and Easy Coloring Book, is everything I hoped it would be. If you’ve ever smiled at phrases like “Just One More Chapter,” laughed because “Books Before Adulting” feels a little too accurate, or proudly admitted your personality is basically “has too many books and is okay with it,” this book was made for you. Inside you’ll find 50 quote designs celebrating every part of bookish life. Some pages are cozy, some are funny, and some are encouraging. And all of them are designed to remind you why you fell in love with reading in the first place. Each quote is paired with adorable kawaii-style illustrations featuring books, cozy reading nooks, mugs, cats, plants, and all those little details that make reading feel like home.

Why We Chose a Bold and Easy Style
One thing that mattered to both of us from the beginning was making these books feel relaxing instead of overwhelming. That’s why every page uses bold, clean lines and simple designs that are enjoyable whether you’ve been coloring for years or you’re just getting started. I know a lot of us don’t necessarily want intricate pages that take weeks to finish. Sometimes we just want to sit down with our favorite drink, put on an audiobook or playlist, and color for half an hour after work. That’s exactly the experience we wanted to create. Some of my favorite evenings lately have been the simplest ones: reading a few chapters, coloring for a little while, and letting myself enjoy a hobby that doesn’t involve staring at another screen.

A Little Dream That Turned Into Something Real
When we created Cozy Reading, I hoped other readers would love it as much as we did. I started working with an incredibly talented illustrator who also happens to be both a reader and a teacher, and together we created something that celebrated the quiet joy of curling up with a good book. What I didn’t expect was how much I would fall in love with the creative process itself. Somewhere along the way, these books became about more than coloring pages. They became about creating little pockets of calm. That’s exactly why Thyme Lane was born. Thyme Lane is the creative corner of my world that’s all about slowing down, stepping away from screens for a while, and making space for cozy, analog hobbies that help us enjoy the little moments again. Whether that’s reading, coloring, journaling, or simply spending an hour doing something that doesn’t require notifications or endless scrolling, that’s the heart behind every project we’re creating.
One of My Favorite Parts of This Journey
I think what surprises me most isn’t that we’ve published two books. It’s that we’re already planning what’s next. Every time we finish one project, another idea starts taking shape, and it’s been so much fun dreaming about what this little collection could become. When I first started sharing books online, I never imagined it would eventually lead to creating books of my own. Now I get to combine my love of reading with another cozy hobby that helps people slow down, relax, and make a little time for themselves. That honestly means more to me than I know how to put into words.
What’s Coming Next?
The fun isn’t stopping here. We’re already deep into creating Bookish Halloween, and I can’t wait to share more of it because it might be my favorite one yet. After that, we have several more releases planned before the end of the year:
- Bookish Halloween
- Bookish Christmas
- Another Bookish Quotes collection
- Bookish Winter, our very first seasonal winter coloring book
Seeing this little collection continue to grow has been incredibly exciting, and I already have way too many ideas scribbled down for future books. If you’ve been enjoying these releases, just know we’re only getting started.
Why I Hope You’ll Love It
At the end of the day, this isn’t just a coloring book; it’s an invitation to slow down. To put your phone away for a little while. To make yourself a cup of tea or coffee. To spend an hour with your favorite colors, your favorite audiobook or playlist, and a hobby that asks absolutely nothing of you except to enjoy yourself. I think we all need more moments like that. And if this little book becomes part of someone’s cozy reading routine, then everything that went into creating it was completely worth it.
Final Thoughts
Publishing Bookish Quotes has been one of those moments I’ll always remember. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who supported Cozy Reading, and I can’t wait to see what you think of Book 2. Thank you for cheering on these creative projects, for believing in Thyme Lane, and for making this community such a wonderful place to share ideas. Every kind message, photo, review, and bit of encouragement reminds me why I love creating for fellow readers.
If you decide to pick up Bookish Quotes, I’d absolutely love to know which page you color first. And tell me in the comments which upcoming book are you most excited for: Bookish Halloween, Bookish Christmas, another Bookish Quotes collection, or Bookish Winter? I can’t wait to hear what you’re looking forward to most.
