The Longest Autumn by Amy Avery
LISTEN ON: APPLE | GOOGLE | SPOTIFY | AMAZON
Can you imagine a world where the season of autumn stays indefinitely? Well, that’s exactly what happens in Amy Avery’s novel “The Longest Autumn.” In the novel, Amy transports us to a world where the four seasons are gods. Each god is transported from what is known as the divine realm to the human world every season and back again via an ancient portal called the Mirror with their escorts known as Heralds. But when the mirror shatters, Autumn is stuck in the human world indefinitely. It also means bad news for humans as we see crops begin to fail, food reserves run out, and the threat of starvation looms. So we see Tirne working to repair the mirror, while also trying to find out the cause of its destruction, all while a romance starts to brew.
So in this episode, Amy talks about her new book, we play an autumn-themed game, learn more about her reading and writing life, plus lots more!
