The Webs We Weave Series is the Perfect Summer Binge
Looking for the perfect summer binge read? Here’s why the Webs We Weave Series by Krista and Becca Ritchie completely consumed my life and deserves a spot on your summer TBR.

Why the Webs We Weave Series Is the Summer Binge Read I Couldn’t Put Down
Hi Besties, Every summer I end up looking for at least one series that completely takes over my life. Not a book I enjoy or a book I think is good. A series that makes me forget laundry exists, causes me to stay up far too late saying “just one more chapter,” and leaves me staring at the wall wondering what I’m supposed to do with myself after it’s over. This summer, that series was the Webs We Weave Series by Krista and Becca Ritchie. And honestly? I don’t think enough people are talking about it. At first glance, I wasn’t convinced this would be for me. But somewhere between the lies, the manipulation, the family secrets, the found family dynamics, and one of the most intense slow-burn romances I’ve read in years, I became completely obsessed. So if you’re looking for a series with a trio of books that combines romance, family drama, suspense, mystery, found family, emotional damage, and enough twists to make your head spin, allow me to introduce your next binge read.
What Is the Webs We Weave Series About?
The Webs We Weave Series follows two families of con artists whose lives have been built on deception for generations. Their parents trained them to manipulate, to perform, to lie. Basically to become whoever they need to be. But as the younger generation begins questioning the lives they’ve inherited, they uncover secrets that make them wonder if their entire existence has been one giant con.
The series centers primarily on Phoebe Graves and Brayden “Rocky” Tinrock, childhood friends who have spent their lives tangled together through family loyalty, shared history, and feelings that refuse to stay buried. What starts as a story about cons slowly becomes something much bigger. It’s about identity, truth, family, trust, and what happens when you realize you don’t actually know who’s been pulling the strings.
Book One: Dishonestly Yours

The Book That Slowly Reeled Me In
I’ll be honest, the beginning took me a minute. There are a lot of characters, a lot of relationships, and a lot of moving pieces to keep track of. But once I settled into the world, I was hooked. What I loved most was how layered everything felt, the flashbacks were particularly well done because they didn’t just provide backstory. They helped explain why these characters were so fiercely attached to each other and why leaving their old lives behind wasn’t as simple as walking away. And then there’s Rocky and Phoebe, good grief. The chemistry between these two could probably power a small city. What surprised me most was how emotional their relationship felt underneath all the tension. They aren’t simply attracted to each other. Their lives are completely intertwined in ways that make every interaction feel loaded with history. The final stretch of this book absolutely flew by for me, and that ending ensured there was no universe in which I wasn’t immediately picking up book two. You can get a copy of Dishonestly Yours on Amazon.
Book Two: Destructively Mine

Where the Obsession Really Began
You know when a second book takes everything you liked about the first book and somehow makes it better? That was Destructively Mine for me. This book picks up immediately after the events of Dishonestly Yours, and thankfully, many of the questions I desperately needed answers to actually get answered. At least some of them. Because Krista and Becca Ritchie clearly enjoy emotionally torturing their readers. What I loved most about this installment was how much deeper we got into the characters. Phoebe and Rocky felt even more developed, the family dynamics became richer, the stakes became higher, and the emotional investment became dangerous. This is also where the broader cast really started to shine for me. The siblings became just as interesting as the main couple, and suddenly I wasn’t only reading for Rocky and Phoebe anymore. I wanted everyone’s story, everyone’s secrets, and I wanted everyone to be okay. Which, if you’ve read enough books, is usually a sign the authors have you exactly where they want you. You can get a copy of Destructively Mine on Amazon.
Book Three: Dangerously Ours

The Finale That Completely Wrecked Me
I don’t want to spoil anything. In fact, this is one of those series where spoilers would genuinely ruin the experience. What I will say is this: Dangerously Ours delivers. The final book expands beyond Rocky and Phoebe and allows us to spend more time inside the heads of several other characters, which made the story feel even bigger and more emotional. The multiple perspectives worked beautifully, the twists were stressful, and the stakes felt impossibly high. And I genuinely felt like these characters could lose everything. What impressed me most was how the series never lost sight of its emotional core. Yes, there are cons, lies, and revelations that made me audibly gasp. But underneath all of that, this has always been a story about people trying to build honest lives after being raised in dishonesty. And that landed hard. By the final chapters, I felt so invested in this family of beautifully messy misfits that saying goodbye was genuinely bittersweet. You can get a copy of Dangerously Ours on Amazon.
Why This Series Works So Well as a Summer Binge Read
The Books Are Impossible to Put Down
Every book ends with enough questions that you’ll immediately want to pick up the next one. This is not a “one book every few months” type of series. This is a “cancel your weekend plans” series.
The Found Family Is Elite
I believed these relationships and friendships, and that these people would absolutely burn down the world to protect each other. And that kind of emotional authenticity is harder to find than people realize.
Want To Save This Post?
The Romance Delivers
Rocky and Phoebe are one of those couples that make you want to scream into a pillow, but in the best possible way. Their history, loyalty, tension, and their emotional connection. Everything works.
The Mystery Keeps Expanding
Every time I thought I understood what was happening, the authors pulled another thread. And then another, and then another. The deeper I got into the series, the more I questioned everything. Which is exactly what a good con-artist story should do.
Who Should Read the Webs We Weave Series?
I think you’ll love this series if you enjoy:
- Found family stories
- Slow-burn romance
- Childhood friends-to-lovers
- Family secrets
- Morally gray characters
- Multi-book relationship development
- Suspense and mystery
- Character-driven storytelling
- Large ensemble casts
And honestly? If you’re someone who loves getting completely lost in a fictional world for a week or two, this series delivers that experience beautifully.
My Only Small Critiques
The first book can feel a little overwhelming initially because there are so many characters and relationships being introduced. And as someone who isn’t bothered by book length, there were moments throughout the trilogy where I felt the story could have been tightened. That said, neither issue significantly impacted my enjoyment. Because once I became invested in these characters, I wanted every extra page.
Final Thoughts
The Webs We Weave Series reminded me why I love binge reading in the first place. It gave me romance, suspense, family drama, found family, twists, heartbreak, healing, and characters I genuinely didn’t want to leave behind. More than anything, though, it gave me that feeling every reader chases: the feeling of being completely immersed in a story. The kind where you look up after finishing and need a moment to remember where you are. And honestly? That’s exactly what I want from a summer binge read. So tell me, Besties: are you a character-driven reader, a romance reader, or someone who lives for family secrets and shocking twists? Because if you’re the third option, I think the Webs We Weave Series might be about to completely take over your summer.
