Community
As humans, we’re social creatures, and we thrive on connection. That’s why one of my top priorities is to build strong, supportive communities around me that support different aspects of my life and interests. Right now, it’s all about finding a balance and surrounding myself with people who uplift me, challenge me, and inspire me.
Collaboration
Collaboration is a big thing for me this year, and it’s something I want to do more of in the future. I truly believe that collaboration leads to innovation and growth, and as an individual, we can only go so far on our own. Because as the saying goes, no man is an island. So in 2024, I’ll be actively seeking out opportunities to collaborate with others and produce content that reflects the diversity of voices within our bookish community.
Boundaries
This is a big one for me, and it’s something that I’ve struggled with in the past. But I’ve come to realize that setting boundaries is crucial for my well-being and growth. As someone who is a people-pleaser by nature, it’s easy for me to say yes to everything and everyone. But that often leads to burnout and neglecting my own needs. So in 2024, I’ll be working on setting healthy boundaries in all areas of my life. This includes saying no when needed, taking breaks when necessary, and prioritizing self-care.
Confidence
Confidence is not something that comes naturally to me. I’ve always struggled with imposter syndrome and feeling like I’m not good enough. But in 2024, I am committed to working on increasing my confidence. This means celebrating my achievements, acknowledging my strengths, and not being afraid to share my voice and opinions. I believe that when we have confidence in ourselves, we can achieve great things.
Being Present
In a world constantly buzzing with notifications and distractions, it can be hard to remain present and focused. That’s why in 2024, I’m making it a priority to be more mindful and to savor each moment. Whether it’s practicing meditation or simply taking the time to enjoy a walk in nature, being present is a powerful way to cultivate gratitude and joy.
